DCU Walk & Talk

DCU Walk & Talk An active approach to supporting student mental health. We hold walks from 1-2pm on Wednesdays. Meeting point at the playground of Albert College park.

DCU Walk & Talk society is an organisation set up to provide DCU students with a support network relating to mental health. Although based in DCU the society hopes to expand and help others around the greater Dublin area. The society aims to bring awareness and understanding of mental health issues to students by providing a student organised support network. The main activity of the society is organised walks in the park where openly talking about mental health is encouraged and wholeheartedly welcomed. The society will also wish to seek support from the DCU Student Support services and Counselling Services to guide the society and offer additional support. An aim for the society is to act as a first step for many students to seek further mental health services. The society operates on the principle that talking about our thoughts and emotions is vital to maintaining good mental health.
