ADHD TRANSFER OF CARE

Already diagnosed with ADHD and looking to begin treatment or transfer your ongoing care?

We offer ADHD Transfer of Care assessments for adults with a previous ADHD diagnosis seeking medication review, continuation of care, and ongoing clinical support.

€400 – ADHD Transfer of Care Assessment

Includes:

• Review of previous ADHD diagnosis and medical history
• ADHD screening questionnaires and clinical assessment
• Blood tests & ECG assessment (where clinically appropriate)
• Initial consultation with our clinical team
• Follow-up consultation with Consultant Psychiatrist
• First prescription included (where clinically appropriate)

Following initiation of treatment, patients are reviewed with the medical team to assess response, tolerability, monitoring requirements, and ongoing suitability of treatment.

Ongoing prescription review & monitoring – €70 every 3 months

Includes ongoing monitoring, prescription review, and continuation of care in liaison with your Consultant Psychiatrist and clinical team.

All prescribing and continuation of treatment remain subject to clinical assessment, safety review, and ongoing medical suitability in accordance with Medical Council guidance and prescribing regulations.

We’re proud to offer comprehensive ADHD & Autism assessments delivered by experienced Consultant Psychiatrists and supported by our clinical team.

Our assessments follow recognised clinical guidelines and are designed to provide a clear understanding of symptoms, diagnosis, and next steps. Where clinically appropriate, assessments may also include blood tests, ECG assessment, and medical screening to ensure safe and appropriate care.

Aoife is a valued member of our ADHD & Autism Patient Care Coordination team and plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of our adult and children’s services.

Working closely alongside our consultants, clinicians, patients, and families, Aoife helps coordinate appointments, assessments, communication, and patient support throughout the care journey.

Known for her warm personality, kindness, professionalism, and incredible organisational skills, Aoife has quickly become a fantastic support to both our team and our patients. She is always happy to help and brings a calm, friendly, and positive approach to the clinic every day.

MEET DR BASABJIT DAS

We are very fortunate to work alongside Dr Basabjit Das, a highly experienced Consultant in Pain Medicine with extensive expertise in the assessment and management of complex and chronic pain conditions.

Dr Das has worked in some of Ireland’s largest teaching hospitals and continues to provide specialist pain medicine services across leading hospitals and specialist centres throughout Ireland.

His clinical expertise includes chronic back and neck pain, sciatica, nerve pain, musculoskeletal pain, sports and musculoskeletal injuries, facial pain and headache disorders, abdominal and pelvic pain, chest wall pain, and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS).

Dr Das performs a wide range of advanced interventional pain procedures including image-guided spinal injections, epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablation procedures, nerve blocks, trigger point injections, and PRP therapy.

He is widely respected for his professionalism, calm approach, clinical expertise, and compassionate patient care.

We're lucky to have Leonie as part of our team.

Leonie plays such an important role in the day-to-day running of the clinic and is one of those people who is always there whenever something needs to be done. From helping keep the clinic organised and running smoothly, to supporting staff, patients, and everyone around her, she brings positivity, kindness, and energy to every single day.

She is hardworking, caring, dependable, and genuinely one of the good ones. Leonie always goes above and beyond for both our team and our patients, and her warm and generous nature makes such a difference within the clinic.

Whether she’s helping solve problems, supporting the administration team, decorating and improving the clinic environment, or making sure everyone is looked after (usually with coffee involved ☕️), Leonie does it all with a smile.

Aéla is currently completing her undergraduate degree in Psychology while continuing to gain valuable experience within healthcare and clinical services. Alongside her studies, she has become an important part of our multidisciplinary team and provides support across a number of areas within our ADHD and Autism services.

Known for her calm, caring, and approachable nature, Aéla brings professionalism, positivity, and compassion to everything she does. Her dedication, maturity, and willingness to support both patients and colleagues make her a wonderful part of our clinic team.

Some people are simply irreplaceable — and Stacey is one of them.

Stacey has been a huge part of Newcastle Medical Centre for many years and plays an incredibly important role in the day-to-day running of the clinic. From keeping everything organised behind the scenes to helping support our doctors, nurses, staff, and patients, she truly is one of the people who keeps the whole place moving smoothly.

Her professionalism, dedication, and attention to detail are second to none, but what really makes Stacey special is who she is as a person. She brings warmth, humour, kindness, and plenty of wit to every day, and she always manages to keep spirits high no matter how busy things get.

MEET ABBEY

Abbey is the Clinical Operations Manager of our ADHD and Autism Clinic at Newcastle Medical Centre — one of the busiest and fastest-growing departments within the clinic.

Starting in an administrative role, Abbey quickly became an essential part of the team through her dedication, professionalism, and exceptional organisational skills. Over time, she progressed into managing the department, where she now oversees the day-to-day coordination of an incredibly complex and demanding service.

Working closely alongside our consultant psychiatrists across the adult, adolescent, and children’s clinics, Abbey helps coordinate every aspect of patient care behind the scenes. From organising assessments and reports to communicating with parents, teachers, clinicians, and support staff, the amount of work involved in every single case is enormous.

As demand for ADHD and Autism services continues to grow, so does the scale of the department Abbey leads. Managing a large team while ensuring patients and families feel supported throughout the process requires patience, compassion, attention to detail, and remarkable leadership — qualities Abbey demonstrates every single day.

Her ability to stay calm under pressure, keep systems running smoothly, and support both patients and staff has made her an invaluable part of Newcastle Medical Centre.
