Yoga with Cat

Yoga with Cat Pilates, Yoga, Relaxation and Meditation classes. Group classes or One to One. A practice can be as challenging or as relaxing as you need it to be.

My name is Catherine, nicknamed Cat, which is appropriate as I love cats and they like a good stretch! Originally from France, I have been a proud Dub for 20 years. My journey with yoga started 20 years ago. A friend dragged me to a Yoga class in a gym. I noticed right away the benefits to my health as I became more aware of the breath. I saw a vast improvement on my breathing, which helped me overcome a mild form of asthma. I spent over 15 years in the corporate world, having studied Business and Marketing, working in Finance, Consulting, and Sales. I saw the opportunity to train as a yoga teacher as a path for self-improvement and to help others, so in 2013 I started to train with the Yoga Training and Therapy Centre in Dublin. My love of Pilates came later, but i was so enthused by it (as it helps me with my posture for horse riding and complements my Yoga practice) that I trained and became a teacher in 2018. After an interesting and busy career working for companies, I decided to start my self-employed journey! I teach Yoga, Pilates and Meditation first and foremost. And I use my business experience to work as a freelance consultant to help former employers and clients with their development strategy. (Check out my profile on Linkedin https://www.linkedin.com/in/catherinenbernard/)
Having both in my life gives me balance and fulfillment. In my spare time, I love horse riding; I find that Yoga and Pilates help my posture on the horse and my riding fitness. I spend as much time outside as I can, preferably in the lovely Phoenix Park. I believe Yoga, Pilates and Meditation are for everyone. My classes have a strong focus on alignment and encompass mindfulness and stress management. I teach public classes, 1 to 1, and corporate classes in the Dublin area, and now online. So join me for a class in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere !

Day 2 of the short riding break
We did the Island ride, even though we didn't get the best weather for it. It is still stunning when it is windy and raining. As hikers would say, there is no bad weather, just bad gear. Well guess what, waterproof wears off
Thunder was a good boy, i only told him a million times LOL Look at his big brown kind eyes. Plenty of cuddles after the trek.
4 hours in the saddle is the most i have ever done. Some trots, canters and a gallop later, i am in bed early, believe it or not.

My name is Cat. I am a Pilates, Yoga and mindfulness meditation teacher based in Dublin.
The lovely room you see on the photo is the community centre in Chapelizod where i teach a good chunk of my classes.
I also teach in a community centre in Castleknock and for a number of studios and organisations.
My classes are all about building body awareness and strength in a way that still allows you to relax. No mad workouts here LOL.

Happy New Year 2026!
I wish you health and happiness and the ability to manifest what you desire and need.
Stay strong, resist the New Year New Me bulsh*t ! You are amazing, just as you are, even if you over indulged over the festive season.
I will be working on manifesting world peace and less gobsh*tes, as I usually do, and probably more cats 😹
Happy new year !

That's a wrap for 2025! Who else is looking forward to a bit of time off?
I am so grateful to all the smiley faces that have come to classes throughout the year. It makes a massive difference to a small business like mine. I look forward to seeing you all in 2026 for more giggles in class, as well as Yoga and Pilates of course LOL.
PS: keep stretching otherwise we will have a lot of work to do in the new year 😹
Have a great Christmas πŸŽ…πŸŽ„

20TH OCTOBER - WORLD OSTEOPOROSIS DAY
Osteoporosis affects over 500 million people globally.!
It is a condition that weakens bones, making them more likely to break. It develops slowly over several years and is often only diagnosed when a fall or sudden impact causes a bone to fracture.
And guess what, Peri and Menopause doesn't help LOL.
The most common injuries in people with osteoporosis are:
- broken wrist
- hip fracture
- broken vertebrae
The statistics are actually scary. The key is to exercise in the right way.
If you have osteopenia or osteoporosis, or you just want to educate yourself, join me for my Bone Health and balance workshop in Castleknock Community College on Saturday 22nd of November. You will learn what exercises are beneficial and how to modify your Pilates practice if you suffer from that condition.

4 weeks of this tiny nutter!
He has grown a good bit, learned not to climb the curtains (nearly there, work in progress), and provided plenty of distraction to his foster Mom.
He drove Binky a bit nuts, and entertained Beebee plenty.
He plays a lot but he also loves cuddles.
He is leaving us tomorrow to go to his hopefully forever home if he gets on with his new big brother. Another Tuxedo, what can go wrong LOL
The foster experience was so interesting, hard to let them go. But it will be good to be back to normal. And we might do it again.
