Coffee can be toxic to our body especially when we are TTC,ccoffee stimulates the nervous system and releases cortisol something which as we all know is not good when we are TTC, why not try swapping your morning coffee for hot water and lemon or a nice green tea.

COFFEE,

A morning espresso might give you an energy fix, but it can also accelerate anxiety and stress. Coffee stimulates the sympathetic nervous system – responsible for releasing the stress hormones cortisol and adrenalin. It also robs your body of magnesium - a key-stress busting and alkalizing mineral - and blocks a sleep inducing chemical called adenosine thanks to the high caffeine content. Since caffeine can take up to 24 hours to clear the system (if you happen to be a slow metabolizer) the flat white you had post-lunch can leave you wide awake at 2am, heart-racing and freaking out how you’ll cope with work the following day.

SOLUTION: Swap your morning Americano for a Matcha Almond Milk Latte. Green tea has been shown to improve memory and boost the brain, lower cholesterol and the risk of stroke and cancer and prevent blood sugar spikes – whereas coffee will lead to blood sugar spikes. Fertility yoga helps improve blood circulation to your reproductive organs and allows time for you to de-stress and take time for yourself. Fertility yoga is for anyone who is thinking about TTC, has just started trying to conceive, has been trying a long time or who are currently going through reproductive assistance procedures. No matter what stage of your TTC journey you are on this workshop is for you.
I'm also delighted to announce on the day we will be joined by Fertility coach Alison Reede, Alison is a life & Fertility Coach and will give an informal talk at the end of the class while we have a cup of tea. Not only are oranges, grapefruits and other citrus fruits one of the best sources for vitamin C, they’re also packed with potassium, calcium and folate—a B vitamin that can help you get pregnant by regulating ovulation and creating a healthy environment for eggs. You should aim for at least one serving of citrus fruit each day (try a medium-size grapefruit, a large orange, three clementines or one kiwi) in addition to another serving of fruits.

Just a reminder that our Workshop is taking place this Saturday at 10am in Donabate North County Dublin. We will focus on a gentle yoga practice that will help increase blood flow to reproductive organs, this will be followed by a lovely relaxing meditation to help eliminate stress from your body.
