I challenge the word stress in my work every day. Stress implies a breaking point..we need to look at the emotions that have pushed us to that point..are we disappointed, worried, tired, sad, frustrated..?
These add up to ‘Stress’ or anger or overwhelm. But take these last 3 on their own and they are hard to define or solve or accept. Break them down to the underlying emotions and we begin to understand ourselves and live a better, more peaceful, contented life.
According to Susan David, Ph.D., labeling your emotions correctly can leave you more equipped to deal with them.
