It was very special to be invited as .ie s guest to the Aras this morning for the annual Latch On .
Do you know apart from the wonderful place and excitement - seeing all those babies and children breastfeeding fills my lactation heart with joy . Hopefully not for the last time 🤞
Last photo is me back in the clinic to see a lovely 6 week old who’s doing great but his mum has ni**le wounds that are slow to heal … all good .

I’ve recently completed a course in helping families who have breastfed babies with bottle refusal and aversion. I learned a lot and so now offer consults in bottle skills . and run a very seamless teaching experience for any IBCLCs who might wish to do this - we are always brushing up and updating our skills .

Yesterday walking silently with thousands of other healthcare workers changed me.
Listening to Dr George Little speak about the history of that day - 80 years ago American British and French troops had landed on Normandy beaches and were about to free Paris within days. Now the very same countries are arming Israel to continue a genocide .
I am forever changed by what I heard yesterday .
I don’t know how that will change how I am in the world but it will .

I’m hearing a lot of people being told to sterilise each time they use their pump ( absolutely not necessary!)
