This candlelit restorative practice is all about slowing down, resting, and taking care of your body and mind. The focus will be on passive postures, using props like bolsters and blankets for full comfort. We will also do light breathwork, enjoy calming music, and finish with a guided meditation. The room will be lit by candles, creating a quiet and cozy space to relax.

A Sound Bath is a deeply relaxing meditation experience where you are immersed in calming sound waves. A 2.5 hours workshop combining Somatics, mindfulness, slow flow & yin Yoga, where we will be bringing awareness to the spine through a combination of active and passive poses.

What you will experience:

1️⃣ Meditation & Pranayama
We begin gently with meditation and breathwork to calm the mind. We will also explore slow, mindful movements that can help release tension in the back, neck, and shoulders.

2️⃣ Slow Flow (Yang)
This part will focus on active spinal movements: forward bends, twists, side bends, and backbends. The flow is mindful yet energising, helping you move your spine in all directions and increase flexibility.

3️⃣ Yin Yoga & Deep Relaxation
Yin Yoga is a slow and introspective practice: poses are held for longer periods to release tension and to allow us to connect with the flow of the breath and sensations are they arise. We will finish with a long, calming relaxation, which will leave you feeling balanced, centered, and deeply refreshed.
This workshop is suitable for all levels, whether you are new to yoga or an experienced practitioner.

We meet monthly at the cafe to talk about the book we read and the ideas it brings up. It is always a relaxed and thoughtful evening.

This course is perfect for anyone new to yoga or who wants to learn the basics carefully and clearly.

Over 4 weeks, you will:

β€’ Learn foundational yoga poses that build strength and flexibility
β€’ Practice simple sequences like the sun salutation
β€’ Understand important body alignment to keep you safe during practice
β€’ Explore easy breathing techniques to help calm your mind
β€’ Try basic mindfulness exercises to connect body and mind
Each class focuses on a different topic so you can build your knowledge step by step.

Classes are small (maximum 14 people) so Joanna can give personal attention to everyone.

Treat yourself to an evening of yin, soothing sounds, & mindfulness: to slow down, relax, and feel good in both body and mind.

We start with Yin Yoga: a slow-paced style that focuses on long-held stretches targeting the connective tissues of the body and that incorporates Traditional Chinese Medicine principles.

After yoga, you will lie down in Savasana (resting pose). Here, you simply relax and receive the healing sounds of gongs, crystal bowls, chimes, and other instruments. These sounds help quiet the mind, release tension, and bring a deep feeling of peace.

You will leave feeling lighter, calmer, and recharged!

We are a community of highly qualified yoga and Pilates teachers offering safe, dedicated teaching in a purpose-built, light-filled studio. All are welcome to join our classes which cater for a range of ages and abilities. Come to learn, stretch, strengthen, relax and above all, enjoy yourself!

The cafΓ© acts as a reception to the yoga studio and is the heart of the community. We like to keep our menus simple and our coffee high quality. Most of our dishes are vegetarian with many gluten free and vegan options available too! We serve delicious Badger & Dodo coffee and our staff are always sure to serve you with a smile.
