(RA)
Rheumatoid Arthritis is an autoimmune condition in which the immune system mistakenly attacks the joints, causing inflammation, pain, swelling, and stiffness. A characteristic early symptom is morning stiffness lasting longer than one hour, especially in the small joints of the hands and feet.
Over time, patients may experience difficulty making a fist, gripping objects, or standing up from a chair. If left untreated, RA can lead to joint deformities and permanent loss of mobility.
📍Less obvious symptoms may also include:
• persistent fatigue
• unexplained weight loss
• low-grade fever
• dry eyes and mouth
Early diagnosis and properly tailored physiotherapy can help reduce pain, improve joint function, and slow disease progression.
