Natural volumisation treatment. Client felt upper lip was thin relative to lower lip and wanted a subtle augmentation. She had lip blush done prior, hence lovely pink shade!

One patients journey back to normal.

Picture 1: Patient presented with overfilled lips. She had never actually seen her lips from side profile and wasn’t aware how unnatural they looked. She agreed to have lips dissolved.

Picture 2: Two weeks after dissolving. Some lip lines have appeared that the patient never had before lip filler treatments. This was quite distressing for her and I agreed to do my best to address this. It appears the stretching of the lips by excessive filler may have caused skin laxity and wrinkling . This can be one of the negative side effect of dissolving filler with Hyaluronidase.

Picture 3: Patient has since had two sessions of dermal filler, one to restore volume to the upper lip in a natural way, and another to treat some of the lines around her marionette area.

Unfortunately this industry is completely unregulated, and this is the kind of thing that can happen. Everyday I see overfilled lips of beautiful young girls online and in real life. They want to look their best but unfortunately are becoming disfigured, and their appearance a joke. In fact I have so many clients who would actually benefit from lip fillers but are terrified to have them because of what they see on the street!

On the positive side, I am happy to report this lovely lady is a patient for life 😊

How many treatments has this client had in the last 3 years? Read the details below!

Jan 2019
Filler virgin. Patient had a thin upper lip that was unbalanced with a fuller lower lip.

Photo 2
Feb 2022, 3 weeks after her third filler treatment, no swelling.

Take a moment to think? How many treatments do you think this patient has had in the last 3 years?

Very important facts. Patient has only had three treatments total, in 3 years, with less than 0.5ml on the last two occasions.

Important take away facts

1. You don’t need to be having lip filler treatments regularly.
2. Large amounts of lip filler result in filler migration/ distortion of anatomy. People recognise these distortions as abnormal making your lip filler very obvious.
3. Not all patients can have large lips, they must balance with the rest of the face/eyes/chin.
4. If you have a dainty doll like face, this shouldn’t be paired with big “sexy” lips.
5. Ignore social media trends when it come to injectables.
6. What looks good in a photograph does not necessarily look good in real life. Lips must look good during normal facial expression.
7. For those old enough: Remember the eyebrows of the noughties!!!

Take home message
Less is more! And don’t forget where your starting point was! People who have never met you before should not be able to tell you have had lip filler.
Go to an injector you can trust, someone who will say “no, that’s enough”.

Have you heard of the Nefertiti neck lift?

It’s named after the Egyptian queen, Nefertiti, who was known for her beautiful neckline. The Nefertiti Neck Lift is a non-surgical treatment that can improve the look of your neckline without having to go “under the knife“.

What is the Treatment Used For?
* Jawline lacking definition.
* Lessening lines around bottom part of face.
* Smooths dimpled skin on chin.
* Reduce downturned smile
* Patients who tend to tense themselves up, making the neck appear older than it should.
* People with turkey neck "platysmal bands"

The treatment results last up to 6 months (average is 3-4 months) with repeat treatments extending the desired results of creating a sleek neckline.

The procedure involves injecting Botulinum toxin type A (Botox) into particular muscles in the lower face, along the jaw and into the neck (muscles that pull downward) to relax them and in turn to create a tight and youthful-looking neck and jawline.

Anti wrinkle injections before and after.

In the first photo, my lovely client is frowning (or trying to), and in the second photo, she is at rest.

I really appreciate when my clients allow my to share their photos, and I try my best to preserve their identity by not showing eyes etc.

I think we can agree she looks very fresh faced in the after photos.

Hello to any new followers, and patients I haven’t met yet. Here is little bit about me, which you may not know.

I began my career in Trinity College Dublin where I qualified in Dentistry in 2009. I have always had a passion for aesthetics and undertook aesthetic training in the United Kingdom. I have since spent many years training and honing my skills in the cosmetic use of anti-wrinkle injectables, dermal fillers and many other cosmetic and aesthetic treatments.

I now have over six years of professional experience in the application of cosmetic injectables and aesthetic treatments. My ethos is to produce natural results for my clients giving them a fresher appearance, without ever looking overdone or false. I want you to look just like you, only better, respecting your own personal features and always striving for a natural look.
