Last week, we had another wonderful meeting with our Wisdom Board. The HETI Wisdom Board is made up of past HETI Presidents who meet together quarterly to catch up with everything that's happening in HETI and share their wisdom and advice.

This meeting focused on practitioner well-being and self-awareness in equine-assisted services. We discussed the importance of trainers being mindful of their own energy and stress levels when working with horses and clients. The group explored various approaches to mindfulness and self-reflection, including brief body scans and breathing exercises. They discussed the potential for incorporating practitioner well-being into HETI's ethical guidelines.

As a practitioner, how do you self-reflect, self-regulate and bring a calm energy to your sessions? We would love to hear your tips and tricks that might help other practitioners too!

What can a single touch change? 🤍🐴

In equine-assisted services, connection often begins with a quiet moment like this.
No pressure. No expectations. Just presence.

Horses respond to authenticity.
They mirror emotions, encourage trust, and create space for people to grow.

That is where learning and healing often start.

🌍 Tell us in the comments:
with whom are you working?

💾 Save this post if you believe in the power of horse-human connection.

Our HETI ambassadors and coordinators of the HETI Latin America Network, Vera Horne da Cruz and Gustavo Dos Santos, were present as exhibitors at the IV Latin American Summit of Equine Therapy and Adapted Equestrian Sports, organized by the San Juan Equine Therapy Foundation and the Exhibition of Our Horses in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

It was an excellent opportunity to continue spreading the mission and purpose of HETI and the great benefits of being part of this great international community for Equine Assisted Services. The objectives met by the HETI Latin America Network in its first year of life in 2025 were also presented, which ended with more than 200 registered participants from more than 20 countries, and the objectives for the current year 2026 were projected. We thank the event organizer Liliana Aguirre for the invitation and congratulate her for promoting these professional meetings in the region!!!
