A lovely treat for everyone here in Glenaulin

Jo and John’s beautiful niece, Ellie, paid us a very special visit and delighted residents with a wonderful Irish dance performance.

There was great excitement and plenty of smiles as Ellie showcased her talent; it’s safe to say all the residents absolutely loved it.

Thank you, Ellie, for bringing such joy and energy to our day 🥰

Glenaulin Easter Extravaganza 2026 🐣

What a wonderful Easter celebration we had here in Glenaulin Nursing Home.
Our residents fully embraced the spirit of the season, enjoying lovely preparations in the lead-up to Easter. From creating beautiful wall decorations to painting eggs and designing their very own Easter bonnets, which were worn with great pride throughout the festivities 🎨🐰

Our Easter Sunday afternoon celebrations were filled with music, laughter, and great company, with fantastic entertainment from Paddy the DJ 🎶

A huge thank you to our amazing Activity Coordinators – Tejinder, Dana, Danniela, and Giannina – who brought so many smiles to our residents’ faces and made the day truly special ❤️

Of course, a special guest made sure no one was left out… the Easter Bunny hopped from room to room, visiting residents in the sitting rooms and also those who preferred to relax comfortably in their own rooms 🐇💛

A truly memorable Easter for all! 🌼

Happy 96th Birthday to the wonderful “Nana Kay; as she is affectionately known by her great-great-grandson Parker; who was delighted to help blow out the candles on her birthday cake🕯️ on Monday last as she celebrated this milestone surrounded by love, laughter, and family.

Included in the photos are Nana Kay's devoted daughter Mary; the wonderful Parker; Some fellow Glenaulin Nursing Home residents Ann and Noreen, who were getting into the crafty Easter mood and enjoying a beautiful afternoon together.

We feel so lucky to have Nana Kay as a resident here in Glenaulin Nursing Home , and it was a delight to celebrate her 96 years of life, love, and memories. 🥰

Here’s to Nana Kay—may her days continue to be filled with happiness, family, and all the little joys that make life so special 🌸💛

Fantastic News from Glenaulin Nursing Home

We were delighted to take part in the Grace Healthcare Ireland Nursing Homes Group Quiz on Friday – a brilliant virtual event enjoyed by both our residents and staff 💻👏

With 6 rounds and 10 questions in each, there was plenty of fun, laughter and great team spirit throughout! 😊

A big congratulations to our amazing team here at Glenaulin who secured 🥈 2nd Place, winning a lovely sweet hamper for everyone to enjoy 🍬🍫

Well done to all the homes who took part – it was a fantastic afternoon had by all! 💛

🍴 Culinary Excellence Across Grace Healthcare Ireland Nursing Homes - of which Glenaulin Nursing Home is one

On Thursday 12th March, Executive Chef Jose 👨‍🍳 brought together the talented chefs from all 10 Grace Healthcare Ireland homes 🏥 for an inspiring Culinary Day at Blenders Development Kitchen in Tallaght.

🔹 The day kicked off with a tour of Blenders’ production unit 🏭 — seeing how their sauces and condiments are made.
🔹 Chef Paul Bloxham, Culinary Director at Avendra International 🌍, shared insights on culinary trends, sustainability 🌱, and menu planning.
🔹 Chef Ronan Fox gave creative ideas on reducing food waste ♻️.
🔹 Chef Jose highlighted the philosophy behind Grace Healthcare’s catering approach ❤️.

🥘 The grand finale? A friendly cooking competition using Eat Curious products 🥦 — where creativity and collaboration were the main ingredients 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

At Glenaulin Nursing Home, we were deeply touched to receive these beautiful flowers from the family of the late Mona Howard 💐

We are so grateful for your kindness and thoughtful gesture during such a difficult time. It was a privilege to care for Mona, and she will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

🎉 Lily’s Birthday Bash in Glenaulin Nursing Home 🎉

86 years young today 💛 Lily celebrated her birthday in style with her fellow Glenaulin besties — Tess, Tina, Rita — and her daughter and family, enjoying a lovely sunny afternoon together ☀️☕

A big thumbs up 👏 and shout-out to our amazing kitchen team, Justyna and Jana, for the scrumptious birthday cake 🍰✨

☘️ What a fantastic St. Patrick’s Day we had here at Glenaulin Nursing Home ☘️

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed watching the Dublin St. Patrick’s Day Parade on television, soaking up all the colour, music, and celebration from the comfort of home.

The festivities didn’t stop there… we followed it up with a wonderful party 🥳 led by John, our Activities Coordinator, alongside our amazing Healthcare Assistants, who made sure everyone had a truly special day. There was great fun, laughter, and plenty of smiles all around!

💐 Mother’s Day at Glenaulin Nursing Home 💐 where our Residents enjoyed a truly lovely evening celebrating Mother’s Day with their loved ones here in our home. It was wonderful to see families come together, sharing smiles, stories, and special moments.

Everyone enjoyed some light refreshments and snacks while spending quality time together in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. As a small token of appreciation, each of our wonderful ladies was also gifted a Wash & Blow Dry Hair Voucher from Glenaulin Nursing Home – a little treat to make them feel extra special.

Thank you to all the families who joined us and helped make the evening so memorable. Celebrating the amazing mothers and mother figures in our home is always a very special occasion. 💖

Residents at Glenaulin Nursing Home enjoyed a creative activity last Sunday, as they made beautiful paper flowers to celebrate International Women's Day. ♥️

There was great fun, plenty of colour, and lots of smiles as everyone got involved in creating these lovely blooms together. A perfect way to mark such a special day. celebrating the wonderful women in our lives. 🌺🌷
