We had the pleasure once again of welcoming from .haus – Trinity College Dublin, together with artist and researcher Nathan O’Donnell, to continue gathering insights for their wonderful collaborative project with our residents about the history of Glenaulin Nursing Home.

In the first photo, you’ll see our Director of Nursing, Ilona, Assistant Director of Nursing, Catalina, Dimitra, Nathan, and residents Peggy, Nancy, and Connie, who have been involved from the very beginning and continue to share their valuable stories and memories.

In the other photos, our residents Marion, Jack, Noelle, Frances, Ken, Anne, and Margaret — newcomers to the project — also enjoyed the visit, found the discussion fascinating, and loved the idea of contributing to this important piece of our home’s history.

We are all eagerly looking forward to the completed book, which is set to be published in February 2026. 📖

At Glenaulin Nursing Home we had a fun Sunday with our Christmas Card Workshop🎨
Residents got creative and made their own colourful, festive cards, full of personality and cheer.

These lovely handmade cards will be on sale in our Glenaulin Christmas Shop from Today, so keep an eye out in the reception area — perfect for sending a special Christmas message! 🎄💛

We all had a truly lovely afternoon at Ballyfermot Civic Centre. 🎶💃🕺
Jimmy, Jeffery, Joe, and Sam were absolute gentlemen, and everyone enjoyed the fun atmosphere.

A big thank you to the wonderful singer Angel, who had us all singing and dancing — it was an afternoon filled with music, laughter, and great company. ❤️

Our Christmas tree is up, and the stockings are hung on our fireplace — and with that, the magic of the season has officially arrived at Glenaulin Nursing Home 🎄

To enhance the dining experience at Glenaulin Nursing Home, our lovely chef, Justyna, created these cheerful table decorations to accompany the delicious dishes she prepared. Our residents couldn’t praise them enough — both the food and the festive touches brought so much joy to the room.

Our Glenaulin Nursing Home residents had a fantastic time exercising with the skilful Darragh from Siel Bleu Ireland 💙🧘‍♂️
He had everyone stretching their bones, moving with ease, and enjoying every moment thanks to joyful music and even some fun quiz questions at the end.

We were delighted to celebrate lovely Marie’s birthday yesterday, Tuesday, November 25th.

Marie enjoyed a beautiful afternoon surrounded by her family, loved ones, our Residents & Staff and lots of smiles — and of course, a delicious birthday cake shared with her husband Frank. 💛🍰

Over the weekend, our residents rolled up their sleeves and got creative, making beautiful Christmas decorations using pieces of nature they gathered themselves. 🍃🎄
