My name is Maxine Chown and I am a registered Counselling Psychologist who offers psychological services to those in the Pretoria community. I love my job very much and I take care to be thoughtful and compassionate to all my clients. I have worked with many different populations ranging from young children, high school scholars, students, adults, couples, and families. I enjoy working with all pe

ople and my main aim in all my services is to empower each person to live their life with insight, peace, and happiness. My professional qualifications include:
BA in Psychology and Sociology – University of Pretoria
BSocSci Honours degree in Psychology (Cum Laude) – University of Pretoria

In the Modern Alchemy Workshop, we do not try to “fix” it.

We guide you to understand, regulate, breathe, and move through anxiety in a way that honours our bodies and minds.

5 weeks. In-person. Guided by an experienced counselling psychologist and a breath work therapist.

A one of a kind workshop combining two rarely paired modalities for lasting change: psychology and time honoured inner practices.
