SUN EXPOSURE

The effects of being over-exposed to the sun can range from mild headaches to serious conditions such as collapse and convulsions. In serious cases always seek professional help. For milder cases here are five remedies that can be beneficial:

Glonoine
This remedy is suitable where there is a severe, pounding headache . The person complains of heaviness of the head and a sensation that the head is about to burst. The face may feel hot while the extremities feel cold.

Belladonna
There is burning heat and redness of the face and eyes. There can be a congestive, throbbing headache with sensitivity to light and noise. There may even be convulsions.

Gelsemium
This remedy is suitable when the person feels dull and drowsy and can have a headache at the back of the head. There may be weakness, trembling and confusion. The person feels better for lying down.

Lachesis
Suitable where the person suffering from sun exposure has a pale face and may even faint. There may be nausea and vomiting with a pressing headache that is often left sided.

Nat carb
This is a well indicated remedy for the chronic effects of sun exposure. The person experiences extreme tiredness and weakness in hot weather. Headaches are worse from the slightest mental effort.
