I decided to create a course on heart rate variability (HRV) mostly because I’ve been using it as a tool myself to monitor my recovery and stress. It has allowed me to really nail down my nightly recovery so I’m feeling good for those high intensity training sessions, which has had a big impact on me and my performance this year.

The second reason I use HRV, is to remove the guilt that I feel when I need to take it handy or take a day off. It's hard data based that shows whether or not you are in a good state to handle stress, or if you're slightly stressed or under recovered. And from there you can make an informed decision to train as planned or take a bit easier.

And thirdly I've seen myself and with our athletes, how using this tool has been a game changer in terms of monitoring performance long term and seeing what has had a negative impact for each athlete, not just training loads but lifestyle stressors too.

So, after reading through all the research and playing around with apps and HRV testing methods and testing them out on myself, I decided to but everything you need to know about HRV into a course that walks you through what your testing, how to test yourself and most importantly what to do with your results.

I've even included a case study of real-world data from an endurance athlete as to how HRV can be used to improve performance.

This course will be like your cheat sheet into the world of HRV and how to use it to maximise your performance.

As an integral part of the team; the Digital Sales Director is a progressive coach and creative thinker who can conceptualize, execute, and close revenue producing ideas. The properties include, but are not limited to, the station websites, apps, social media, video streaming, partner initiatives and marketing services.

This sales position works in conjunction with the company founders on business development for the overall operation.

Major responsibilities and efforts include but are not limited to:

* Drive digital revenue growth for the company. Create new digital business from outside the traditional media space.
* Oversight of all digital sales products, inventory management and pricing strategies.
* Ability to forecast revenue, develop and sustain a business plan to exceed the digital sales budget.
* Produce revenue and expense reporting.
* Ability to manage and optimize Facebook and Instagram campaigns using Facebook Ads Manager
* Understand the digital marketplace and consistently look for new revenue monetization opportunities for the station
* Create and build compelling email marketing funnels.

Desired Skill and Experience:

* Promote a winning, positive culture. Be a team player. Be resilient and consistent. Have passion for the business, the job, and helping clients to be successful.
* 2 years or more experience in sales, promotions, or marketing preferred. Digital advertising experience preferred.
* Sales management experience preferred.
* Ability to translate challenges into opportunities.
* Presentation experience, excellent written and verbal communications essential.
* Creative thinking essential.
* Ability to manage multiple projects, manages time wisely, and prioritize projects and people.
* Understanding of pricing and inventory management principles.
* Ability to prospect, meet with, and close business with new advertising clients.
* Strong computer skills, proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, social media, etc.
* Basic understanding of ad tags, analytics and campaign tools.
* Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications or similar field required, or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience preferred.
* Current knowledge of digital ad technology, online ad serving, 3rd party research skills such as Google Analytics
* Fluency in English; with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* A background in sport would be extremely adventageous.

About the company

We are a start up performance nutrition company, we work with athletes aiming to maximise their performance via dietary interventions. We work with clients on a 1-1 online coaching basis and via online courses and memberships.

This position is based remotely. The hours are at your discretion with a minimum commitment of 20 hrs per month. The ROP is uncapped commission on all digital sales revenue.

No situation is ever permanent.

This is something I’m trying to tell myself each and every day to try to keep the despair away.

Right now, is not a nice time with huge uncertainty for the coming months with events being cancelled, training being altered or left aside leaving you and every athlete (including myself) in a position of what the f**k do I do now.

One thing we do know is that with every fall there will be a rise. Just like when you're competing there will be highs and there will be lows. Its cyclical, that’s life. And so is this situation too, it will come and pass. We can be sure that all events/comps will return, just need a little faith in the process in getting there.

Your attitude, behaviours and actions combined with how you carry these out through daily habits will be the determining factor of where you’ll be when your sport is back in action.

Now’s not a time to sit back and wonder what could be, you’re an athlete and what’s amazing is your adaptability in every regard.

So, it is your duty you owe yourself and the hard work & sacrifice that you have gone through to make you the athlete you are today, to stay on point, finding new ways to challenge your body always in pursuit of bettering yourself one percent at a time.

Make the most of the down time, you’ve been given a golden opportunity to explore & push your boundaries as an athlete. Whether you see it this way or not.

At the end of the day we all in the same situation, but its the real pros who can turn a negative into a positive.
