Blood Cancer Ireland MIRT The Mater Institute of Research and Therapy for Blood Cancers (MIRT) aims to drive progress and innovation in the understanding & treatment of blood cancer

The Mater Institute of Research and Therapy for Blood Cancers (MIRT) is a new organization which aims to drive progress and innovation in the understanding and treatment of blood cancers, through the exchange of ideas and the pursuit of excellence in research and development. Our goals are:

To develop diagnostic and prognostic biomarker profiles that will facilitate individualization of Blood Cancer therapies

To identify “druggable” protein targets leading to novel blood cancer therapies

To translate scientific observation into direct patient benefits in the shortest possible time span

To train and mentor the clinician-scientists of the future through our international MD-PHD Program

Hopefully the weather holds and best of luck to Peter and Stefan taking part in a skydive (weather permitting) sunday 25th sept at noon at the irish parachute club co offaly.
