✨Here you can see me working the lower portion of my spinal reflex on the foot.✨

Why?  Because even practitioners need to listen to their own bodies. I sat too much over the Christmas and my lower back is feeling it. 🙈

From a medical view, lower back pain can stem from muscular tension, postural strain, inflammation, overuse, disc issues etc. The lumbar spine and sacrum hold the spinal cord, allow movement and hold the weight of the body. Emotional load and prolonged stress can absolutely show up as physical discomfort.
From a  psychological lens, the lower back is often associated with responsibility, support, and feeling “held” in life

Energetically, this area connects with the root chakra and the sacral chakra So back pain can often show up at times these chakra are out of balance. For example , your back can play up or be sore if you are going through life changes. 

So as I sit here giving myself reflexology, I review this pain holistically, through the lens of a person that fully embodies the "woo woo" 🤣 and treats myself with complimentary therapies first. Medical intervention is rarely my first option. BUT I am also  a therapist who sees huge value in medical reviews, assessments and intervention. As in the name, complementary, we can both compliment each other when required.

So many of us are so hard on ourselves, expecting more from ourselves, than we would expect from a friend .

So I invite you to catch yourself in the moments of negative self talk, in reviewing moments critically, in the hyperfocus on our own imperfections. We are only human.

So instead of dropping behaviours or taking up a new resolution. How about we adopt kindness to ourselves, be your own best friend and champion.

It really is such a joy to hold space for people.
I love that people trust me with there safety and I never take that for granted

In this space you can be honest and real. I never judge anyone's path. We are all human and this is our first shot at life. But it is also out only shot.

Choosing presence over perfection means letting yourself breathe instead of trying to have everything “just right.”

It’s the moment you decide to show up as you are and trust that it’s enough. Life feels lighter when we stop worrying about getting it perfect and just let ourselves be in the moment. That’s where the real connection, joy, and magic live.

How many of us remember the gift we got as kids, or how perfect the dinner was, or Infact the gift you gave last year.

Yes, it's nice to have a little magic over the Christmas and soak up the atmosphere. But not if it stresses you out or over stimulates you.

As wee step into December, choose pease, choose calm and choose what suits you and your family.

As we move toward Christmas, remember not every fire is meant to warm you.

This season can pull at your energy from every direction , demands, expectations, emotions.

Stay close to your own flame. Protect it. Nurture it.

And if you can’t physically remove yourself from draining spaces, give yourself permission to step back emotionally.

Let the glow you create decide who steps into your circle, and who stays outside.

Sometimes, our brains distract us as a form of protection. It’s like our minds say, “You’re not ready to feel that yet ....... let’s scroll, clean, or keep busy instead.” And that’s okay, sometimes, we need that space and time.

But when distraction becomes our constant way of coping, those unprocessed emotions don’t just disappear.They sit in the body. And over time, this can show up as tension, fatigue burnout or even illness.

Feeling our emotions, really allowing them to flow in a safe place, is how we return to balance.

Giving them space to be. For some people that's putting on some music that touches them and having a good cry. For others counselling is the road for them.

And that’s where Reiki can be so supportive too. It’s a gentle, non-invasive way of helping energy move, emotions and helping you release what no longer serves you, without force or overwhelm.

It’s like giving your system permission to exhale, soften, and come home to yourself again. 

Reiki is a beautiful energy treatment that will meet you exactly where you are.

At 9pm tomorrow night, I will send distance healing to all those that need or want healing for grief.
Grief has no time stamp, so whether it's recents grief or the grief that lasts a lifetime, I ask you to welcome in the healing.

It will last 30minutes..

You don't have to be still or silent, but I invite you to take a moment and

Take a deep breath, and let your heart be still.

We hold space for those we have loved and lost. We acknowledge the ache of their absence, the weight of their memory, and the love that remains in our hearts.

Grief is the silent companion, the reminder that these bonds are not broken by distance or time.
Every tear, every tender memory, is love seeking expression, love that continues to flow.

With each breath, send love to those who have gone before us, embracing the gift of their presence in our lives. Let us honour their memories by carrying forward the lessons they shared and the warmth they brought to us.

In this quiet moment, we remember. We grieve. We love.

Let us breathe deeply and hold them close within us.
