BREASTFEEDING WEEK
Breastfeeding Prep Essentials

✅ For Comfort & Positioning

Nursing pillow (or firm pillow) – supports baby at breast height.

Comfy chair or spot with back support – you’ll spend hours here.

Footstool/ottoman – helps with posture.

✅ For Breast & Ni**le Care

Nursing bras/tanks – easy access + support.

Breast pads – disposable or washable for leaks.

Ni**le cream (lanolin or natural) – prevents/treats soreness.

Warm/cold gel packs – for engorgement or letdown.

✅ For Feeding & Milk Management

Burp cloths/muslins – lots of them!

Haakaa or milk collector – to save letdown milk (optional but very handy).

Breast pump (if you plan to express) + storage bags/containers.

✅ For Your Sanity

Large water bottle – always keep near your feeding spot.

Easy snacks – one-handed and nourishing (nuts, granola bars, dried fruit).

Small night light – dim for nighttime feeds.

Phone, book, or remote – entertainment during long sessions.

Lactation consultant contact info – for peace of mind.

Local/online breastfeeding group – support when you need it.
