Visiting is restricted in the outbreak wards.
For further advice please contact the Clinical Nurse Managers of the Ward through reception. Limited visiting may be allowed in exceptional circumstances.

Remember to clean your hands coming in and out of the Hospital and ward areas.

If you are coming to the Hospital next week for an appointment, remember to have your Personal Public Services Number (PPSN) with you. We need to update all patient records with this number to accurately identify you and link it to your healthcare records.

We are delighted to share that today, the Hospital has been presented with the inaugural Most Improved Performance Award for the Irish Hip Fracture Standards by the National Office of Clinical Audit.

This achievement reflects the incredible dedication and teamwork of our multidisciplinary hip fracture team — including colleagues from the Emergency Department, orthopaedic surgery, orthogeriatrics, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, anaesthetics, and bed management. Together, they have refined processes to ensure patients receive safe, timely, and compassionate care.

This award is a testament to the commitment of every person involved in the care and journey of hip fracture patients at TUH. We are proud of this achievement and remain focused on building further improvements to deliver the highest standards of patient care.
