Lately I've been feeling a bit stuck, like my inspiration has gone into hibernation. And maybe that's exactly what's needed.
I keep reminding myself to take a lesson from winter, that stillness and quietness isn't wasted time.
They're part of the cycles.
The work is happening even in the quite and stillness, it's just taking a different shape.
This weekend, I'm heading on a silent retreat it couldn't have come at a better time! Im hoping 5h4 space and stillness will being a little clarity (and maybe spark something new)
I'll share how I get on when I'm back.

1. Calling it an “industry” Yoga is a practice and a path, and it just feels strange when it’s spoken about like a marketplace.
2. Studios calling something ‘Karma Yoga’ when it’s really a barter system.Helping out for a free class is totally fine, but it’s different from the traditional meaning of Karma Yoga.
3. When the messaging and the atmosphere don’t quite match. For example, talking about ease and calm while the space accidentally feels a bit rushed or high-pressure..
4. When the presentation of yoga overshadows the practice. The aesthetic can be inspiring, but sometimes the simple, grounded teachings end up taking a back seat without anyone meaning to.
5. Advice given as if there’s only one right way. Even when it’s well-meant, yoga isn’t one-size-fits-all, so can end up feeling a bit limiting.
What feels important to you when it comes to practising or sharing yoga?

This month’s theme: Karma
In yoga, karma means “action.” Every thought, word, and deed plants a seed that eventually bears fruit, for better or worse. Karma isn’t punishment or reward, it’s the natural law of cause and effect.
Practising Karma Yoga means acting with awareness and compassion, without attachment to the outcome. It’s about offering your actions selflessly, doing good simply because it’s good, not for recognition or result.
This Sunday, we’ll explore the deeper meaning of Karma and how to bring this teaching into our lives, both on and off the mat.
✨ Reflection Question:
Can you think of a time when you acted purely from the heart without expecting anything in return? How did it feel? Let me know in the comments below.

Samhain marks the Celtic New Year, a time to honour the turning of the seasons, the thinning of the veil, and the quiet wisdom of the land. 🌑
At this sacred threshold, we connect with the Cailleach, the Crone of Winter, who brings stillness, transformation, and the power to release what no longer serves us. She reminds us that endings are sacred, and that rest makes space for new beginnings. 🍂
Join me on Sunday, November 2nd for Anú Rising Together: a Samhain Circle, a gentle, welcoming gathering for all.
We’ll sit, chat, share tea, and move in simple yoga poses suitable for chairs, wheelchairs, or sitting on the ground, honouring the season and the Cailleach’s energy in our bodies and hearts. 🕯️
Come as you are, and step into the magic of Samhain. 🌿

It’s probably the most common thing I hear when people ask me about yoga “I’m not flexible enough.”
But here’s the truth: of all the things needed to “do” yoga, flexibility isn’t one of them.
Yoga is truly for everyone. Sure, not every class will be for you, but there is always a practice for you even ways of practising yoga without moving at all.
The internet has turned yoga into an exercise for contortionists, but please, take a moment to look a little deeper. This beautiful tradition offers so much more than flexibility, it’s a path to awareness, balance, and inner peace.
(Which I clearly haven’t reached yet… because I still let things like this bother me 😅 but I’m trying!!)

My very first yoga class was 16 years ago, I didn't know much about the practice only that it made me feel good. For years, Yoga was just something I did as a hobby every now and again. Eight years ago it all started to change slowly, so slow I barely noticed my whole life being to turn upside down. It was no coincidence while these changes were happening, I had started a more dedicated Yoga practice. And everything I was learning on the mat started to seep into my life off the mat. I really enjoy all the aspects of yoga and figuring out how to apply these techniques into daily life and by doing so helps me to maintain an all round sense of wellbeing in my life.
In 2014 I attended a yoga retreat in Spain. It was one of the best holidays ever and I learned so much about Yoga and myself. One week of intense yoga, eating healthy and sleeping well, spending a lot of time in nature, really brought my practice and understanding of yoga to the next level.
A few months after that my husband suggested I do teacher training. My first thought was NO WAY!!! I would never have the confidence to stand up in front of a room of people and talk for an hour.
So after some consideration I decided to combine the 2 things I love in life, Yoga and Travel, and I booked a 200hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, India. And have never looked back! It was the most amazing experience of my life I had started to learn who I am and what I want from life.
Now I am back in Ireland teaching yoga Full time, with a lot more classes and workshops and experiences in the pipe line.
Honestly if you told me 5 years ago that I would be doing this I would not in a million years believed you, but turns out when your passionate about something and it is something you are meant to do it will happen!!!
In 2018 I have developed my teacher training by adding Yin Yoga, and Pregnancy Yoga and Reiki to my portfolio, which I now offer in my public and private classes

Tuesday’s 7.30pm
