How does therapy work?
Psychotherapy is a process where we talk about your thoughts and emotions in order to bring about a sense of resolution and acceptance. Emotions such as anxiety, fear and depression can be overwhelming and lead to a sense of hopelessness and loneliness. Therapy can help you work through your emotions at your pace and provide you with a space where you can explore what no longer serves you. This can enable you to bring about healthy change.

Many people can reach a time in their lives where their ability to manage certain thoughts and feelings escapes them. This can leave you feeling confused, anxious and afraid and while all we want to do is “just get on with things” there is a sense within that all is not well. This is more common than you believe and may signify a range of psychological challenges such as depression, overwhelming stress and anxiety, panic attacks, perfectionism and addictions. Stifling these emotions can make life more difficult and have a negative impact on your relationships.

Such feelings can be a call from within to look at your thoughts and feelings and talk them through with someone you can trust and that accepts you. This will enable you to free yourself from their negative effects.

I will help you make sense of your feelings and assist you in identifying the ways that you undermine yourself in the different aspects of your life. By committing to this journey you will begin to understand your behaviours and the choices you have made in your life. You will ultimately move closer to a life of contentment and success – the life that you deserve.
