It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Professor Eunice McCarthy. A former PSI President and a pioneering member of the Society, Eunice will be deeply missed. Our thoughts are with her family, friends, and colleagues, particularly her fellow members of the PSI Division of Work and Organisational Psychology, in which she played an integral role.

Join Liliana Morales and Angie McLaughlin for this important workshop, organised by the PSI Division of Counselling Psychology, exploring inequalities in mental health through the lens of social graces.

Many clients face discrimination in their everyday lives. This interactive session invites psychologists to reflect on their practice, challenge assumptions, and develop more proactively non-discriminatory ways of working that genuinely meet the needs of diverse communities.

A valuable opportunity to deepen insight, strengthen ethical practice, and engage in meaningful professional reflection.

The PSI was happy to support the consultation process with Ireland's Permanent Mission to the United Nations ahead of this week's approval of the UN General Assembly's Political Declaration on the Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases and the Promotion of Mental Health and Wellbeing.

Mental health is a topic of significant importance in both an Irish and international context, and the PSI was glad to play a role in the advocacy that led to support for the declaration, in conjunction with colleagues at the Global Psychology Alliance, American Psychological Association and the European Federation of Psychologists' Associations (EFPA).

More details on the declaration available here: bit.ly/3KFn7
