What is the purpose of this Page?

Our sanghas usually take place on Sunday evenings. To join our events see: https://www.meetup.com/wake-up-dublin/ This is an open page for everyone to add any info, events or even thoughts about anything to do with mindfulness in our community. What do you do in your weekly meetings? Sangha is always dedicated to mindful practice, inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh teachings. There can be a big variety of practices in the weekly meetings (often depending on who is facilitating!), with guided and silent sitting meditation, mindful walking, mindful movement, reading the 5 Mindfulness Trainings, Deep relaxation, listening to dharma talks, reading teachings and Dharma sharing. Sometimes there is even mindful eating and singing. How do I find out about date and location of meetings and event? We meet every week , alternating between Friday and Sunday, in Oscailt, 8 Pembroke Road, Dublin 4. If you want to keep up to date about our weekly meeting and upcoming events, like our page. Do you have a teacher? We practice in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. Our group does not have a formal teacher. Each meeting is facilitated by volunteers from the group. This way we are all students and teachers at the same time. Do I have to pay to attend? We usually ask attendants for a donation to be able to fund upcoming retreats and give back to Oscailt for rent and heating. Most people give around €5. If you should be unable to afford it, please don't worry, you would be welcome to attend anyway.
