Getting a groin injury is a load management issue.

It most likely involves you needing
to do more to help strengthen that area.

Here are some examples you can use to rehab a sore achy groin or to help prevent a groin injury.

Nope. This isn't true.

Getting older and being in pain don't have to coexist.

What about the millions of people over 50 running marathons and exercising daily......?

The information you've been given is incorrect.

You actually need to do more as you get older to help yourself. But most people do a lot less.

Your pain is more likely because you haven't stressed your body enough for too long.

You can live so much better as you age.

Do more. Feel better. Live better.

Fear around back pain contributes to it persisting for far too long.

Fear and worry causes is to move differently.

We move stiffer and slower.

We often move more carefully, and we move less.

This is far more relevant than the mri report or the disc issue or the misinformation you have been given by well-intended health professionals and family members.

If you are fed up of back pain and want to get back moving confidently, reach out for a chat . Manager@painandperformanceclinic.ie

There are way too many people in pain unnecessarily, unable to do the things that they enjoy.

Too many people are told to stop, rest, and avoid any pain.

When you first experience pain or injury, who you go to first has a massive impact.

Doctors are way too busy and have far too varied a workload to help you with pain or injury. Go to the doctor if you are sick, not injured.

Doing less as we age has a much greater negative impact on us than when we are younger and naturally more active.

Pain does not mean you are injured, and if you do less and less and are overprotective and rest, two things will happen.

1. Your pain will go away only to return when you do a bit more than usual. ( And then what do you do?)

2. You will experience your pain more frequently, and it will take less and less to cause pain.

Both of these options take you further and further away from your goals and the activity levels you need.

It does not have to be this way.

If you have pain for a couple of months and want to continue doing all the things that are important to you please reach out by DM, look at our website www.painandperformanceclinic.ie or email manager@painandperformanceclinic.ie to set up an initial chat.
