St Anne’s Primary School, Tallaght came to Tallaght Library for the ‘Books Are Good For You’ event which strives to showcase to children the positive power of reading and literacy on their health in a fun and dynamic way. Conceived by Professor Catherine Darker and Dr Darach O’Ciardha from School of Medicine, and the Academic Primary Care Collaborative, supported by Trinity Access Programme, the children play with models from the Anatomy Department, learn to write a story with children’s author Debbie Thomas and have their ideas drawn live by a fabulous illustrator!! They also become members of the library, which may spark a life long love of reading. Books truly are ‘good for you’!

On the evening of March 5th, the TCD Internal Medicine Society hosted the Medical Case Presentation Competition 2025, an academic event designed to encourage clinical reasoning and presentation skills among medical students.

We are pleased to share that Alberto Maero, a third-year medical student, was awarded first place after delivering an excellent clinical case presentation.

Professor Joe Harbison and Professor Joseph Keane from the School of Medicine acted as judges.
