Budgeting at Christmas time 🥰✨💫

Some lovely Xmas wreaths and festive plant displays were created this morning. Using a selection of plant cutting from site here in EVE Plantmarket.
Favorites include Mountain Pine, Eucalyptus, Holly, Cypress, Skimmia, Grey santolina and more.
Well done, they are beautiful.

Great craic had by a group in EVE Plantmarket. Many getting their creativity flowing. We had a Halloween quiz to start the morning whilst some were preparing a pumpkin soup and others were helping to prepare a carrot cake. After tea break, some took on the pumpkin carving. Let's not forget we had yummy soup and carrot cake to eat 🤓

From Stones of Shame to Shores of Support
On Friday the 19th of September we took our stigma stones to Drumanagh (Martello Tower) cliffs between Loughshinny and Rush. We threw the negative stones off the cliff into the sea. It was quite symbolic for some, who felt they were letting go of their own stigma’s. After this we discussed our positive stones and placed them along the walking route where people might get comfort from them.
Finally, we had our message of hope in a bottle. Gary & Emma, did a beautiful engraving of a ribbon and a positive message on the back of it, the engraving was filled with resin. Unfortunately, no one got a picture of the bottle, so you’ll have to take a word for it . Gary bravely went onto to one of the rocks to do the honor of throwing the bottle into the sea. We hope it ends up some place nice for someone to find.
This was real collective effort from everyone who took part. A hot drink and food were calling, so we headed to Bare Acre for Lunch and chats.

From stones of shame to shores of support

As part of EVE Plantmarkets Green ribbon efforts to help promote and end mental health stigma. The students came up with an interesting campaign.
We are going to collect stones/rocks. Each student will have at least two. On one stone they'll put a negative expressions or image associated with mental health, whilst on the other there will be a positive uplifting message.
On Friday the 19th of September we will head to the cliff area known as Drumanagh (Martello Tower) between Loughshinny and Rush. We will throw the negative stones off the cliff into the sea. Sending the powerful message of . After this we will choose a suitable location where we will stack the positive stone to provide a sense of comfort to those who may be struggling with their mental health.
We will than head to a local café for treats and chats.
