Plenty of digging to prepare our site for Potatoes. We had to dig and hoe by hand, very hard work followed by some fun with the rotavator. Still a small bit too finish to be ready for sewing next week.

On Friday, we had a great time at a Healthy Steps Walking Group in Donabate. It was lovely weather and great company. These groups are run throughout Fingal. Everyone went for tea/coffee afterwards and some indulged in a nice treat 😗

What a fantastic day celebrating International Women’s Day and women in sport with our friends at EVE Estuary. The atmosphere was electric, matched only by the incredible decorations.
We were honoured to be joined by Irish international star Izzy Atkinson, who spoke candidly about the highs and lows of playing on the world stage. She was incredibly generous with her time, answering a flurry of questions before posing for selfies and signing autographs for her many fans.
The excitement continued with a surprise performance by the National Ambulance Service Pipe and Drum Band. Accompanied by a majestic Irish Wolfhound—who predictably stole both the show and our hearts—their music brought the house down.
To work up an appetite, everyone took part in a lively penalty shootout before being treated to a wonderful spread of food and refreshments. A huge thank you to the staff and participants at the EVE Estuary HUB; your hospitality was truly second to none!

Fitness in Focus at EVE Plantmarket Green Hub
We recently took on the Operation Transformation Minimum Fitness Tests to establish a baseline for our team's health and wellness. These tests, developed in collaboration with DCU School of Health and Human Performance, are designed to measure how we compare to the minimum fitness standards for our age and gender.

Our assessment included four key challenges:
• Press-Up Test: We kicked things off with a 60-second press-up challenge to test upper body muscular endurance.
• Balance Test: Next was the single-leg stand, which proved much more challenging than expected—especially the phase with eyes closed!.
• Sit-to-Stand Test: This 30-second assessment evaluated our functional lower-body strength and mobility.
• 12-Minute Endurance Test: Finally, we pushed our cardiovascular limits by walking or running as far as possible in 12 minutes.
The team is now focused on staying active over the next fortnight. We’ll be re-testing in two weeks, and everyone is motivated to see those scores climb!.
