Louis Theroux went inside the “manosphere” - a loose network of online influencers, communities, and podcasts focused on masculinity, dating, money, and gender roles.

At its core, the documentary isn’t just about controversial influencers it’s about:
• why some young men are drawn to them
• how online culture is shaping ideas of masculinity
• and the social impact of these beliefs spreading online

It’s an investigation into a controversial online subculture that promises success and identity to men but often promotes harmful, polarising views about gender and relationships ❤️ #

Bessel van der Kolk is a well-known psychiatrist and trauma researcher. He is famous for his work on psychological trauma and how it affects both the mind and the body. He asserts: • Trauma is not only psychological — it changes the brain and the body.
• People who experience trauma may stay stuck in fight, flight, or freeze mode.
• Healing often requires body-based therapies, not only talking therapy.

Not all estrangement fits into a single box. These patterns aren’t mutually exclusive. They often overlap.
Someone can experience neglect, scapegoating, parent-led withdrawal, or manipulation at the same time, or move through several of them across a lifetime.
No contact may become a response, but it isn’t the root experience in every case.
Understanding the type of estrangement matters because it reveals where the power was, where the choice was taken away, and what actually needs healing. Repost from .sherrie much needed understanding around this time of year ❤️

Give yourself 5 mins today to listen? The body expresses what the mind denies.
It is a mirror of inner truth—emotional, psychological, and existential. Thoughts and emotions are not separate from physical experience. Our bodies resist self-deception: Anxiety, tension, fatigue, or unease can show when we are living inauthentically. Freud and later thinkers believed the body expresses what the conscious mind represses like physical reactions triggered by emotion.
In many Eastern traditions (Zen, Taoism):
Mind and body are not separate. Dishonesty or inner conflict shows up in the body’s tension. Harmony and truth appear in relaxed, fluid movement. What is your body saying? Only in silence can you listen, take 5 minutes wait and see what occurs ❤️ thank you ❤️
