Welcome to Ahimsa, the sound of well-being! At Ahimsa our main focus is on Sound Healing Therapy (we also offer IET, Indian Head Massage, Mindfulness & Meditation & continuously learning more!) using Tibetan Singing Bowls. Sound Healing is the therapeutic application of sound frequencies applied to the body, mind & spirit with the intention of restoring them to a state of harmony & health. Each of us vibrates at our own unique frequency, which means our organs, bones & every single cell in our bodies are continuously resonating. When we are unwell, stressed or simply out of sync our cells are vibrating at an unhealthy level often causing what we know as 'dis-ease' or 'dis-harmony'. During a Sound Healing Therapy (the bowls are placed on or around the body), the sounds and vibrations are transmitted into our blood, organs, tissues & cellular memory through the 85% water we are made up of. Our cells respond positively by restoring the normal vibratory frequencies of the 'dis-eased', out of harmony parts of the body bringing us back to into alignment & well-being. If you are still unsure as to the power of sound, let me put it to you this way...When you think we are made up of 75% water & sound travels in water at 3,350 miles per hour, you will realise how great a conductor for sound our bodies are and all it's healing potential! βIf we accept that sound is vibration and we know that vibration touches every part of our physical being, then we understand that sound is heard and not only through our ears but through every cell in our bodies. One reason sound heals on a physical level is because it so deeply touches and transforms us on the emotional and spiritual planes. Sound can redress imbalances on every level of physiologic functioning and can play a positive role in the treatment of virtually any medical disorderβ -
