CSN Parental Support

CSN Parental Support CSN parental support is a service to help parents maintain their own mental and emotional wellbeing while raising a child with special needs.

My name is Fiona Malone, as well as being a qualified counsellor I have also worked with children with Autism and their parents in my role as a home tutor for the last 6 years. The first thing that I noticed was the grief that many of these parents suffered after receiving a diagnosis but not having the time or space to grieve. It also became apparent to me over those years that often parents own wellbeing has been neglected as they put their all into helping their children. Parents are their childs best advocate and by looking after yourselves you also provide strength to your family to overcome the obstacles you face.
