ICP CEO Rúaidhrí O’Connor & ICP Board Directors & Registrants were out in force today in Buswells to meet Senators & TDs to discuss ICP’s concerns re: CORU’s proposed Standards of Proficiency for Psychotherapists.
The session featured a series of pop-up presentations from experienced psychotherapists, highlighting key issues & potential implications of the current draft standards on the profession & the public. Ministers, Senators, & TDs were invited to attend at any time during the afternoon (1:30pm – 5pm) for a short briefing opportunity.
Their presence & perspective as a public representative was greatly valued as ICP work to ensure that the regulation of psychotherapy in Ireland is both robust & reflective of best practice.
