On Saturday, 1 April recipients of the Alumni Awards from 2020-22 returned to RCSI to receive their awards in person. The long awaited award ceremony was an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of RCSI alumni, whose exemplary accomplishments and contributions as global healthcare professionals, are leading the world to better health.

Representing the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Ms Gwen Regan (class of 2011) was recognised as a 2022 recipient of the Humanitarian and Community award for outstanding contribution to infection prevention and control during COVID-19.

Dr Clare Lewis (class of 2009), received the Outstanding Clinician Award. Dr Lewis is the Deputy Chief Nursing Officer with the Department of Health in Ireland and completed her PhD in RCSI in 2019, an achievement that makes her an exemplar for clinical nurses interested in research.

We are proud to recognize the exceptional contributions of our alumni, congratulations to all of the awardees!
