October is a reminder that caring for your mental health matters just as much as caring for your body.
If you’ve been feeling anxious, tired, or out of balance, you’re not alone. These small, steady practices can help support your mind and body connection:
- Pause for a few slow, deep breaths throughout the day.
- Try light acupressure at Yin Tang (between the eyebrows) or An Mian (behind the ear) to calm the nervous system.
- Gentle gua sha or facial massage can release tension held in the jaw and temples.
- Ground yourself — a short walk outside, or simply feeling your feet on the floor.
- Prioritise rest: small habits like reducing screen time before bed really do help.
If you’re carrying the weight of someone else’s pain — your care matters, too. Be gentle with yourself.
Health includes harmony of mind, body, and spirit. If things feel heavy, please talk to someone you trust — a friend, family member, GP, or a mental health professional. You deserve support and care, and reaching out is a sign of strength, not weakness.
