Follow along this week whilst I talk about hoarding!

It is a lot more common than you think.

I spoke on TV with in the past about what leads to hoarding, how to approach a loved one who is hoarding and how to manage if you are a hoarder!

I will be posting how best to help both yourself and your loved one ❤️

Do you know exactly how many beauty products you own???

Often we own way more than we think!

Some were gifts.
Some we bought and forgot about.

It is time to do a stocktake of what we own. It is time to declutter and organise ourselves!

First step is to gather everything up and break it all into categories like cleansers, moisturisers, treatments, spfs, eye creams etc.

Then commit to using the ones already opened.

Personally, I group my products into 3 categories..

Day use
Night use
Pamper Time

How many products do you have?

Beyond proud to be presenting my workshop for parents of Neurodivergent Children with Dublin City Libraries in Ballymun Library on 22nd April. We have a few spaces still available for parents, care givers, teachers, SNAs and anyone involved in the lives of our amazing young people and adults!

From helping with early language development through song or coping with a neurodivergent diagnosis, Dublin City Libraries are hosting several 'Parenting with Confidence' events this April

We all have a clutter corner in our kitchens. What systems work for you???

A pile of unmade decisions sprinkled with a little fear of throwing stuff out...incase that screw might be the only thing that was holding the kitchen table together 🤣

For the clutter on the window sill, clear it off every week.

For the clutter in the cutlery drawer, grab yourself a washed out bean tin or empty glass jar. Create a simple storage system for the odds and ends.

For the decorative bowl clutter pile, Im afraid that has to go!

For the kitchen table clutter, spend a quick 5 mins at the end of the day to rehome everything.

When items in your house do not have a home, they tend to create clutter piles! These can be found on your kitchen window sill or in the cutlery drawer!

However, you do not need to buy fancy storage containers. You can create effect storage solutions using items in your home!

Elastic bands = washed out glass jar
Used up batteries = washed out bean tin
Random screws = washed out large glass jar

What do you do with a random screw you might find on the kitchen floor?

Put it in the cutlery drawer?
Put it on the window sill to come back to later?

Both options just create clutter!

Instead, use a washed out tin of beans or a little glass jar to house them!

Want to improve your mood?
Feel more organised?
Reduce decision fatigue?
Would love to start into a new week with optimism?

It is the little simple Decluttering and Organising tasks we do on a Sunday that can help us achieve all of these goals!

🥦 Meal prep
🧽 Declutter and Organise your fridge
🛏 Fresh bed sheets
🏡 Mend one thing in your home
💄 Pamper yourself

Yesterday was payday for a lot of people and all the shops have special offers to coincide! 3 for 2! Buy 1 get another half price!

Before we get tempted to add to cart, let's do a little Saturday decluttering and organising!

How many products do you already have?
Are their unused products you will never use?
What are you running low on?

When you gather up all of your products and do a little stock taking, it can help you make better decisions and better purchases 🥰

Finally, the sun is beginning to peep out!

Gardening gloves on ✅️
Paint scraper at the ready ✅️
Garden furniture needs attention ✅️
Plants need some feeding and attention ✅️
Patio needs a power hosing ✅️

Then overwhelm can kick in 🤪

In order to not start too many jobs in the one go, it is time to make a Decluttering and Organising Plan for your garden!

Take time today to plan out what needs doing month by month.

Be realistic in how much time you have available!

My whole patio set needs to be sanded and repainted. Realistically, I am setting aside just 1 hour every day to tackle each piece so it is done properly! The hard work is in the prep 💪.

Are you itching to get started?

Our Story

My name is Fiona Hall MIACP, owner and founder of Consciously Clearing decluttering service based in Dublin but working with clients throughout Ireland. I am a qualified and accredited Psychotherapist & Counsellor, Public Speaker, Mum to twins and I am passionate about decluttering, living with less and feeling more organised. My vision is to help clients declutter their homes and businesses, let go of the past and live happier lives!

I have written about all things decluttering for VIP, Sunday World Magazine, Maternity and Infant, Stellar, Easy Parenting and Rollercoaster.ie as well as speaking on Sunshine FM about the value of decluttering in adding to our everyday happiness. I also deliver talks on “Decluttering and the Impact on our Mental Health” for Dublin City Council, Fingal County Council, South Dublin County Council and Meath County Council. Additionally, I deliver workshops to corporate clients and private groups on the positive impacts of decluttering and how letting go can help us move forward with our lives.

I set up Consciously Clearing in September 2016 and work in homes throughout Ireland helping clients to declutter and bring positive changes to their lives.

I support and encourage my clients to let go of the past, donate their excess to charity and to move forward with their lives in more meaningful and connected ways.
