The roll-out of the Vital Pharmacies brand is well underway across the country. As we also merge our digital presence, please note that this will now be our only official page. You will soon notice the page name will change to Vital Pharmacies, and all of our company activity will occur here.

It's allergy season. And these are some of our favourite products to support you. But bear in mind: not all allergy products work the same. Each of these products works in a very specific way for very specific symptoms and triggers. The best thing to do is to speak with your local pharmacy team about what products will work best to prevent and relieve your specific hay fever symptoms.

It's Exam Season! We're not quite at the point where state exams are imminent, but many of you are preparing for 3rd level assessments which are coming up soon. With that in mind, we're sharing some advice in our graphics for how you might be able to limit the stress that Exam Preparation places on you, by minimising the stress that preparation causes.

The HSE Campaign for Spring COVID-19 Booster Vaccination is now underway!

Starting from today, you can now avail of a booster dose of COVID-19 Vaccination in participating pharmacies if you are eligible.

While most people are eligible for vaccination, the following groups are particularly advised to avail of FREE vaccination at this time:
▪ those aged 80 years and over
▪ those aged 18 years and over living in long term care facilities
▪ those aged 6 months and over who are immunocomprimised.

If you are not in any of the above groups, you may still be recommended to be vaccinated. Please speak with any member of the pharmacy team for more information, to find out if you are eligible for a vaccination at this time, or for any further advice on your COVID-19 vaccination status

🌸 Managing Hay Fever with Asthma

Asthmatics who also suffer from seasonal allergies can experience worsening asthma symptoms during times of Moderate or High Pollen. It's very important to pay close attention to pollen forecasts - available at www.met.ie/forecasts/pollen - and to take action when the pollen count is likely to rise.

Our graphics include some advice on how asthma patients can minimise the affects of pollen during allergy season. Remember to check with your pharmacist which hay fever products are safe for use by people with asthma.
