Men’s Shed
Our new Men’s Shed initiative is already bringing laughter and connection to Harold’s Cross. From art sessions to chats, songs and a drink together in the SNUG, it’s become a real highlight for our male residents and patients.

Intergenerational Magic
A special shout‑out to the wonderful students at St. Clare’s Primary School who visits each year to sing, read poems, play games and share stories. The joy they bring is truly something special.

Crochet & Knitting Crew - Let’s Get Hooked
Our talented crochet and knitting group have been adding colour and vibrancy to our gardens their creations bring a smile to everyone who passes through.

95‑year‑old Robert from St Michael’s Ward sang his heart out during our group music session in the hall. His beautiful rendition of Scarlet Ribbons stopped us all in our tracks a gentle reminder of the joy, memory and connection that music brings at every age.

Our patients, residents, staff and volunteers will enjoy an ‘egg-stravaganza’ this Easter, thanks to Thomas Metcalfe and his daughters Lauren and Ellamay, who kindly delivered lots of chocolate treats that members of the public and companies generously donated.

Their visit brought smiles across our Harold’s Cross site, where 101‑year‑old Jean O’Toole, a patient in the Community Rehabilitation Unit, was among those who received a special Easter egg.

Thank you to the Metcalfe family and also to Brian Lawless from PA Media, who visited our Harold’s Cross site this week to capture all the ‘egg-citement’!

These four amazing girls set up their very own shop in their local community and raised an incredible €100 for the Hospice and we are so grateful.

We were also delighted to welcome them to the Hospice for a visit on their easter holidays. It was fantastic to see such generosity and community spirit at such a young age.
