Range of Services:

Diathermy
The term diathermy is derived from the Greek words dia and therma, and literally means “heating through.” Typically it refers to "electrically induced heat" by means of either high-frequency electromagnetic (AC) or galvanic (DC) currents, applied as a form of physical therapy or surgical procedures. The heat is not the only physical aspect of the treatment with electric currents passing through soft tissues. DC currents in particular are driving electrochemical decomposition (electrolysis) reactions, typically resulting in destruction of the biological cells. This is a safe, medically approved technique used to treat several types of cosmetic conditions. Contrary to the alternative laser treatments, the electric approach is not discriminative for any skin type and can be offered to women and men of nearly any age. The generally high success rate depends primarily on skills and experience of the technician performing the treatment, and results are considered the most permanent among all methods used in the field. The Dublin Diathermy Clinic specilizes in treating the following conditions:
hair removal
broken veins (thread veins)
