VERY PROUD of our multitalented physio who took the bronze medal in the 1500m at the National Indoor Champs in the NIA Abbotstown yesterday 🥉
No stranger to hard work on and off the track, Ellie’s positive attitude, focus, experience and work ethic make her an exceptional physio and coach aswell as an athlete. National medals are hard won and so delighted she made the podium in a very tough field. 💪🏽❤️
Big shout out also to DSC fam (.ac)who ran a brilliant race and took the gold medal. Niamh Kearney () took the bronze medals in the womens 3k. Brilliant running by all 3 ladies and setting themselves up for an exciting season ahead!

That’s a wrap from us till after the big man arrives. Wishing all our clients, friends and comrades a really happy Christmas and a well deserved break. Thanks for all your hard work this year and enduring all forms of our torture! Most importantly for all the laughs and friendship and constantly challenging us to stay on top our game.
Proud of our incredible team , Fiona and Orla (too cool for the gram) who all bring the endless energy and work ethic that make DSC what it is.
A special mention to our neighbours and community ‘the Fenian St massive’ who have worked so hard to return to some normality over the past year and make our little corner of D2 very special place to be 💙

Busy weekend of sporting action for the DSC
The NationalTrack & Field Championships kick off today at Morton Stadium Santry with our own Ellie Hartnett and Greta Streimikyte going in the 1500m heats at 6.15pm this eve. Catch all the action live stream on the athletics Ireland You Tube channel. Live coverage and highlights on RTE at 6pm on Sunday.
Evan Comerford and the Dublin men take on Cork in the All Ireland Quater-finals at 6pm in .
Next up then the Dublin Ladies play Mayo in their final group match of the All Ireland Championship at 7.15 in O’Moore park Portlaoise which will be live on tv.

S E R I O U S S T R E N G T H 🥇
Huge congratulations to .mcdermott_ who won her first national title in U69kg division at the National Championships at the weekend. Emma put together a very impressive total of 437.5kg - 157.5kg Back Squat, 86.5kg Bench Press and 192.5kg Deadlift to win gold. She was disappointed to just miss out on 202.5kg deadlift for the Best Female Lifter - as if winning a national champs isn’t enough good work for one day!!

Any sport like powerlifting which puts such extreme stress on our musculoskeletal system during training and competition means a good recovery program is a key component to staying injury free and maintaining training load. Emma is a regular in DSC for Sports Therapy which she uses to help her recovery from her heavy training load, prevent injury, and improve performance. She is as diligent about looking after her body as she is about her training with a work ethic and positive mindset that is exemplary. We can all vouch for her ability to endure pain on the physio table too!
Her progress over the last few years has been incredible, consistently setting new pb’s, getting representative honours and establishing herself as one of the top female lifters in the country.
We are so proud of her and delighted to be part of her journey.

Golden Girl! ⭐️
Huge congratulations to Mary Horgan who won gold in the w35 800m in the European Masters Indoor Athletics Champs in Braga, Portugal yesterday.
A gutsy run where she lead from the gun to storm home well ahead of the field in 2.14.
A well deserved medal for an exceptional hard worker who is having an excellent indoor season and looking forward to this weekends national championships.
In the men’s sprints another DSC athlete Shane Sheridan finished just outside the medals when he took 4th in the m60 60m final today in a very close finish. Well done Shane, another great run by the athlete

Ice Ice Baby ❄️ Well done to DSC client Conor O’Connor who successfully completed his first ice swim last wkend at the Wöerthesee Swim in Austria. This annual Ice swim event takes place in the stunning surrounds of Lake Woerthesee in the Austrian alps. A superb achievement by Conor completing the 1km event with a water temp of 4.1 degrees on race day. Altho the water temp of 3.5deg two days prior had him well acclimatised 🤣
Conor is now well on target to achieve his goal of completing the ice mile in next years event.

We are all delighted and so proud of Conor, thoroughly deserved for all his hard work and bravery in taking on such a tough challenge. Great work by our physio who guided him through injury and back to great shape in the lead up to the event

Big weekend ahead for some of our star ladies 💙 💛
Dublin are going for 6 titles in a row in Sunday’s All Ireland Senior Final v’s Meath. Wishing all the girls the very best of luck along with Fiona, Paul and all the backroom team who have been putting in a serious shift to have the girls ready for Sunday’s showdown.
Our very own superstar coach also takes to the pitch on Sunday with her Wicklow Team in the Junior Final against Antrim. Huge support for Aoife and Wicklow from all of the DSC fam and wishing them the very best of luck in Sunday’s final.
The game kicks off the action at 11.45 on Sunday and is live on .
Or better yet get your gluteus to Croker on Sunday and support the ladies in what will be a great day of footballing action

T O K Y O B O U N D • Yesterday we said a fond and excited farewell to Greta as she headed off to training camp in Portugal to start her final prep for the Paralympics. Greta will travel to Japan on 12th August to holding camp in Narita before travelling to The Olympic Village in Tokyo for her first race on 28th August.
Greta has put in an incredible season of hard work and racing which has seen her set new PB’s in the run in to Tokyo and is most certainly on track for a great Games. A firm favourite with the team and clients here in DSC, she has an incredible work ethic and an ability to take pain like no other on the physio table! Along with this she always manages to have a smile on her face and is friendly to everyone on the gym floor, always making time to stop and chat.
We are so proud of all she has achieved so far and delighted to be part of her journey. The very very best of luck Greta from all the team, members and extended community of the DSC we are all behind you.
Tokyo Paralympic Games Athletics events kick off on Fri 27th of August with Greta competing in the Women’s T13 1500m on 28th.

A DSC favourite- the Deadbug.
This exercise strengthens and stabilizes your core and back muscles which will help improve posture and help aid balance and coordination. Great for a warm up or with a weight for a core strengthening exercise.

Dublin Sports Clinic (DSC) is a new centre with an innovative approach to training and therapy. We are a premium provider of Chartered Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy and Training, based in Dublin City Centre. We have a dedicated team of talented coaches and therapists with over 50 years of combined experience in the industry. Dublin Sports Clinic has been established specifically to motivate and help our clients to perform at their very best. Our highly qualified team all have a strong background in sport and experience of training to the highest level. We use our collective expertise to bring a seamless team approach to our therapy and programming.
