Today we had a wonderful time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with our amazing residents 💚
There was plenty of laughter, music, and festive spirit all around. From decorations to smiles, everyone truly embraced the joy of the day. Moments like these remind us how special our community is.

We honour all the mothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, and mother figures whose love, guidance, and strength continue to shape our lives. We also hold in our hearts the mothers who are no longer with us, but whose memory and impact remain deeply felt. And to those who are looking forward to becoming mothers, we celebrate you too.

Across all our Evergreen Care nursing homes, we are privileged to care for so many remarkable women. We are equally grateful for our dedicated staff, many of whom are mothers themselves, who share their compassion and care each and every day 💗

Meet Ty — Our Morale Officer in Training! 🐾

If you’ve visited our Home lately, you might have spotted a very important (and very furry) member of our team - Ty, an assistance dog in training from Dogs for the Disabled.

Ty spends a few days each week with us in the Evergreen Care support office, where he takes his job very seriously…
✨ Boosting morale
✨ Demanding pets
✨ Politely requesting treats
✨ And reminding us to smile

He also loves popping down to the sitting rooms to say hello to our residents, who absolutely adore him. In fact, they adore him so much that convincing him to go home with his foster mum afterward is becoming a full-time job… especially when there are sandwich crusts involved! 🥪😂

We’re so grateful to be part of Ty’s training journey. He brings joy, comfort, and a lot of tail wagging to our home. 💚🐶💜

We celebrated Valentine’s Day together — residents, their wonderful partners, and our amazing staff — sharing smiles, laughter, music, and special moments. Days like this remind us that love has no age and community makes every celebration even more meaningful. 💕

Rest peacefully, Sherin. Gone too soon, never forgotten. Our sincere condolences to the family—may you find comfort and strength in the love around you. 🤍

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our colleague, Sherin Abraham.

Sherin was a much-loved member of our team, known for her kindness, dedication, and the care she showed to both her colleagues and the people we support. She will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of working alongside her.

We also want to recognise the courage and sacrifice shown by so many who leave their home country, families, and communities to work abroad. Building a life and career far from home takes strength and commitment. We honour that journey and the contribution Sherin made, both professionally and personally.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Sherin’s family, friends, and all who are grieving at this very difficult time. We ask our community to continue showing compassion and support to one another.

Last week our home was filled with tradition, memories, and smiles as our residents created many beautiful St Brigid’s crosses.
This meaningful activity encouraged conversation, creativity, and a strong sense of togetherness. We are so proud of their wonderful work and the joy shared throughout the day🤩🤩🤩
