Magic Hill Honey

Magic Hill Honey Raw Irish Wildflower Honey & Natural Skincare Products This is a completely natural process and the honey is still perfect to eat.

Magic Hill Honey - our exquisite high quality raw Irish honey is ethically produced and harvested in small sustainable batches, only taking the excess honey from our bees. To preserve the natural goodness of our honey, it is only coarsely filtered and then bottled by hand using traditional methods. This craft process ensures the honey retains all of its natural goodness and maintains its superior quality and distinct flavour. We are passionate about natural health and creating awareness for Ireland’s native bee population and the importance of the Native Irish Honey Bee and other pollinators. In our apiaries we only use native Irish honeybees, positively contributing to the conservation of this threatened native species. With our raw Irish honey and our range of 'Honey Wellness' natural beeswax & raw honey skincare products we strive to contribute to a healthier, more natural and sustainable way of life. I’m used to earwigs sheltering under the hive lids but these to ladies are of a different kind - queen wasps snuck under the lid to hibernate!

11/01/2026

8° and the ladies are out collecting water to process the Ivy honey. Ivy honey is the bees main winter food which needs to be diluted with water before they can eat it.

While colder autumn weather is settling in on the hills and the buzzy ladies stay in their hives not wanting to be disturbed, I finally have time to update our product lists and to put an early shout out about our lovely range of seasonal raw honeys, cozy diving smelling beeswax candles and natural skincare products. Perfect for unique sustainable handmade gifts and of course to battle those winter colds from inside and out. List of ‘liquid honey based winter warmers’ 🥃 available on request

Good news fellow honey lovers! There will be a ivy honey ready for purchase soon. Took some beautiful wild comb off the bees today and the honey will be pressed and bottled later on this evening 🍯
Ivy honey has the most potent healing properties especially for chest infections . Perfect now for the start of the cold season

The girls were happy out this evening bringing in the ivy. The smell off the hives is amazing and you can hear the humming of bees processing the nectar from far off. I tried to capture the sound by placing the phone against the hive but in reality it’s a lot louder 🐝🐝🐝

Not a bee but what an impressive supersized caterpillar I just found on the mountain! First he played dead and then started exploring 😬
