Sr. Dr. Miriam Duggan. Franciscan Missionary Sisters for Africa Mount Oliver, Dundalk (Formerly Limerick City, Kampala Uganda, Nairobi Kenya). Peacefully in the kind and gentle care of the staff in St. Francis’ Nursing Home Mount Oliver. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Moira and her brother Colm. Sr. Miriam will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her sisters Áine Duggan, Eithne Kennedy, Sheila Phillipps and brother Bernard, her Franciscan Community, her nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Peacefully, in her 96th year, Ethel passed away surrounded by her loving family and in the exceptional care of the dedicated staff at Silverstream Nursing Home.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Gerry, cherished daughter Frances, parents Thomas and Bridget, brothers Patsy, Teddy, and Tommy, and sisters Isabel and Irene.

Ethel will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Angela (Watt), grandchildren Kerri and Ben, as well as her nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Dixon’s Funeral Home, Maxwell Row, Bridge Street, Dundalk (Eircode: A91 PV07) tomorrow, Friday, from 4pm to 7pm. A Funeral Mass will take place in the Funeral Home on Saturday at 11 o’clock, thereafter to St. Patrick’s Cemetery for burial via Patrick Street.

Brendan will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife and best friend Rita, daughters Áine and Sharon and son Damien, his cherished grandchildren Tess, Dylan, Millie, Sadhbh, and Fréimhín. Rose will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her dear husband Jim, adoring children Jimmy, Paul, David, Niall, Jillian and Vincent, daughters-in-law Sunneva, Paula, and Denise, son-in-law Saddiq, her eighteen cherished grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, brother Mick, sisters Pat, Sheila, Bridget, Veronica, and Marie as well as her many nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, friends and by all who knew and loved her.

Emporia, Kansas, USA and late of Jocelyn Grove, Dundalk.

It is with great sadness that we share the death of Jamie, who passed away unexpectedly at his home in Emporia, Kansas, on 16th June 2025.

Jamie will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his loving parents, Jim and Briege, and by his cherished family, Conor and Anne, Liam and Paula, Kate and Matthew. He was a beloved uncle to Kyle, Shay, Ava, Sarah, and Rebecca, and a dear nephew to Denis, David, and Frances. Jamie’s memory will be treasured by his cousins, Aaron and Meghan, as well as by his extended family, neighbours, and many friends in both Emporia, Kansas, and his hometown of Dundalk—and by all who had the good fortune to know.
