Breast Cancer Awareness Day 💗 Early detection can save lives. Take a few minutes today to check your breasts; it could make all the difference.

Here’s how to perform a quick self-exam:
1️⃣ Look at your breasts in the mirror with your shoulders straight and your arms on your hips.
2️⃣ Raise your arms and look for any changes in shape, colour, or swelling.
3️⃣ Feel your breasts while lying down — use a circular motion to check the entire breast, from the collarbone to the top of your abdomen.
4️⃣ Repeat while standing or in the shower.

If you notice anything unusual, like a lump, a change in shape, or persistent pain, book an appointment with your GP today.

On Saturday, 27th September, Centric Health hosted its 11th Annual Conference at O’Reilly Hall, University College Dublin.

The event brought together healthcare professionals, leaders, and colleagues from across . A distinguished line-up of speakers — including international experts, clinical leaders, and the Minister for Health, Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD. - delivered speeches that highlighted the central role of patients in our work and the continued development of primary care in Ireland.

The conference was a reminder that at the heart of every innovation, every service, and every decision in healthcare, it is the patient who matters most.

A fantastic day of learning and collaboration at the Centric Health Menopause Care Training Workshop last weekend!

On Saturday, 17th May, Dr. Sinéad Hussey, our Clinical Lead for Women’s Health, hosted an in-depth, ICGP & NMBI-accredited training session led by Catriona Keyes, ANP and certified Menopause Practitioner. GPs and Practice Nurses from across Centric Health joined to deepen their knowledge on delivering evidence-based, patient-centred menopause care in primary care settings.

We were also joined by Aoife Ní Eochaidh, Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist, who delivered an excellent session on Women’s Health Physiotherapy for menopause. Huge congratulations to Aoife for being awarded Physiotherapy Service of the Year at the 2025 Private Healthcare Excellence Awards that same day- a well-deserved honour!

What a brilliant weekend at WellFest 2025– and a proud moment for all of us at Centric Health!

We were delighted to see our very own Dr Máire Finn, Partner GP at Ennis Medical, take centre stage at WellFem, the festival’s new zone dedicated to female health. Dr Finn joined an inspiring panel of experts to discuss key topics including fertility, reproductive care, menopause, and more.

It’s fantastic to see open conversations happening around women’s health, and even better when our GPs are leading them.
