As the hot weather continues, it’s important to watch out for signs of heatstroke.

Those most at risk are:
✅ Over 65s
✅ Infants
✅ People with underlying health conditions
✅ People with dementia

Check in on elderly neighbours and relatives and keep children safe in the sun.

Heat exhaustion is not usually serious if you can cool down within 30 minutes. If it turns into heatstroke, it needs to be treated as an emergency.

❤️📍 GEASHILL 📍 ❤️

⛑️Tonight some of our members traveled to Geashill to provide CPR & AED Awareness training with our Free Hands for Life Course. ⛑️

This concise but informative course goes through how to operate an AED, perform CPR, identify the signs and symptoms of a stroke & Heart Attack and how to help in a Choking situation.

Hopefully all those left with the confidence to recognise and react in an emergency situation. 🚑

Thanks to all that gave up their evenings to learn this vital skill.

A special thanks also to Pauric for organising the hall and spreading the word.

💥Our responders have checked on AEDs in Geashill and can confirm they are now up to date.

Huge congratulations to everyone at Oaklands Community College on this amazing achievement in training all 800+ students! 🎉 A special shoutout to Mr. Creevy for his incredible dedication—what an inspiring example of how one teacher can make a real difference.

Equipping students not only with CPR skills, but also the knowledge and confidence to act when it matters most, is a gift that could one day save lives.

👉 No medical experience required, just interest in learning
