We the staff of Quinn's Pharmacy would like to offer our heartfelt condolences to the Farrell and Holt families on the tragic loss of little Tadhg and his Grandaunt Mary. Mary was a regular customer of ours and was a lovely, quiet lady who was always friendly and lived a simple life while working for most of her adult years caring for the patients of Ofalia House. Tadhg was a 4 year old boy, with his whole life in front of him and as innocent and pure as a victim could be. Drugs destroy lives and very often its the innocent people that bear the brunt of the tragedies.
As a mark of respect and to show solidarity with the families who have lost so much this week, we will close the Pharmacy tomorrow at 11.30am for about 45 minutes, to allow our staff to form a guard of honour on the streets from Killane where Tadhg will take his final journey to St. Mary's Church. We would encourage all businesses in the town to do the same and to line the streets of Edenderry from Killane to the church in a show of community spirit, shared grief and support for the families at this truly heartbreaking time.
