Healing Art at Portumna Castle
On April 26th, the Exhibition "Expressions: Life in Colour" by Jacinta Glasgow, artist and healing therapist, commences at The Gallery, Portumna Castle and gardens, Co. Galway.
This latest exhibition is a collection of vibrant, uplifting works in acrylic or oil, depicting therapeutic images inspired by the natural world and spirituality, exploring the themes of healing, hope, balance, connections, and storytelling. This exhibition aims to uplift you to hope, peace, and balance, bringing healing by integrating and connecting with spirit in gratitude, acceptance, and wholeness. A selection of fine-art archival giclee prints of Jacinta's work is available or on request (see display stand).
About the artist:
A native of Limerick, Jacinta grew up in a large family, and her parents encouraged her creativity and love of painting from an early age. Her paintings are inspired by a love of the natural world, travel, and spiritual journeys. She is largely self-taught and has painted with groups in Ireland and abroad.
As a nurse and holistic therapist, she infuses her paintings with healing to aid in balance, peace, and harmony. In addition, she also enjoys painting commissions, e.g., animal portraits, murals, and book cover design or photo collage. She is a member of the North Tipperary Artist Collective (NTAC) and has participated in numerous group exhibitions, a community mural project, and the NTAC βpop up shopβ. She actively promotes the healing benefits of art and art awareness at the local hospital and enjoys fostering community engagement and public access to the arts.
The exhibition will run from April 26th to May 29th 2026, open daily with free admission by reception at the Tea-room
