Curcumin, found in turmeric, is a powerful DNA methylation adaptogen and a Younger You superstar!

It has an impressive ability to modulate genetic expression by changing levels of DNA methylation. In cell studies, curcumin looks to be able to both add and reverse excess or erroneous methylation marks on your DNA, like the clean-up crew for life’s inevitable biochemical messes.

Known as the “king of spices,” turmeric has many other potent effects on your biochemistry and your health, including preventing cancer as well as neurological and inflammatory diseases.

If opting for dried turmeric choose organic as some conventional products may be contaminated with heavy metals such as lead.

If you've ever considering trying your hand at fermenting or wondered what it was all about, here are some nice recipes to try!

Some of the recipes need a starter or grains that you can source from your local health food shop or through sharing facebook groups while others use 'regular' ingredients you probably already have at home.

Really enjoyed the 'Let's Eat Raw Cake' workshop yesterday evening at Sweetngreen Café Ennis. with the Little Raw Kitchen!!

Some of the yummy treats Emma showed us how to make included blueberry lemon cheesecake 🍋🍋, snickers slice🥜🥜and raspberry coconut slice 🥥🥥. All made from plant based ingredients and set in the fridge or freezer so no baking involved.

Making your own nutritious treats has never been so easy!! If you haven't tried it before, start with something simple like the oats and dates energy balls. There are loads of recipes online.
