If you are concerned about a family member or a loved one’s alcohol, drug, or gambling misuse, Bushypark Addiction Treatment Services is here to help. We provide family support services, including one-to-one sessions, family conferences, and family support groups. This video tells of the impact that addiction has on the family, but mostly it tells how family members learn to recover for themselves. Family support is available free of charge to anyone over 18 years, whether their loved one is in active addiction or is in recovery. Family support is available to you.

Delivering a lunch and learn talk on substance misuse, gambling and addiction to staff at Westpark Innovation Campus. The talk was hosted by Fine Grain Property as part of their Movember Self-Care month. Presenting are Maurice Crowe Polydrug Co-Ordinator and Co***ne Team Leader and Mags Nash Bushypark with Anne Cawley, community Facilitator at Westpark who organised the event. The Gambling Awareness Trust funded a play on the impact of gambling on family members. The 3:30 at Cheltenham is a powerful story and theatre a powerful medium for storytelling, the perfect vehicle to open much needed conversations on the devastating impacts of problem gambling in Irish society. We are proud to say that our Manager, Mags Nash was on the panel on launch night speaking about counselling and other supports available for clients and family members impacted by gambling and other addictions. Bushypark are delighted to be in receipt of gambling awareness trust funding that allows us to provide free counselling supports in the community.

Helping Women Recover Programme
Bushypark Addiction Treatment Service was awarded funding under the MWRDAF to provide a dedicated support programme for women in Clare impacted by addiction. As a result of funding received are rolling out a Helping Women Recover Programme in September 2024, that will run over 15 weeks including an introductory session.
The Helping Women Recover Programme is a gender-based, trauma-informed treatment program for women in recovery. It is grounded in research, theory, and clinical practice. A structured journal-based programme that is evidence based, is completed as part of the sessions with a view to providing women with additional skills, confidence based initiatives and recovery supports to enable them to continue into long term recovery
This programme helps women to gain an understanding of the impact of relationship issues, sexuality, confidence building, spirituality, relapse triggers with a focus on the issues of addiction and trauma.
The programme is open to all women over 18 years who are in recovery from substance or process addictions.
