Belle doesn’t need any human to drive her to her appointments with us! She does struggle to see the road though.

The time is approaching, we have known it was coming but saying goodbye will not be easy. 😢 Sarah is nearing her last day with Summerhill Vets (Friday August 29th).

From new grad to absolute superstar 🌟, Sarah has been a highly valued & loved part of our team. Her energy, kindness & laughs will be missed by everyone.

HEATSTROKE IN PETS
During this very warm weather please be sensible & responsible when it comes to your animals.
Keep your pet in a cool, shaded spot, indoors if needed with access to fresh water.
Do not leave your pet in a car for any length of time.
Brachycephalic breeds are most at risk.
Please contact your vet immediately if you suspect heatstroke.

Young kitten in today for a check up. Following clinical exam with vet Sarah, the kittens dirty ears were swabbed and examined under the microscope to find ear mites 😬 🪳 Ear mites are a common parasite in both dogs and cats of any age and can lead to very dirty, itchy and sore ears. Make sure ear health is part of your pet’s parasite prevention plan 👏✅

✨ Pip ✨ This lovely 10year old pug/terrier came to us a month ago as a referral for cruciate ligament disease. Here he is at he’s stitches out appointment moving better then ever.

✨K Laser ✨

New & exciting piece of equipment to add to the Summerhill clinic 🥳
Laser therapy is a drug free, surgery free solution to help treat wound healing, osteoarthritis, chronic wounds, pain management, ligament and tendon conditions, nerve and spinal cord problems, bone and cartilage repair & post surgery rehab.
If you would like to know more about this therapy please contact a member of staff. We are excited to see patient results over the next few weeks. First patient is Herman, a 13 year old feline who had a canine extraction today due to a feline resorption lesion. This condition is extremely painful so post op laser therapy was used in conjunction with pain medication. He will get he’s second round of therapy next week 😁

💕 Tilly 💕

Tilly, a 2 year old, British Shorthair was referred to us for fixation of a dislocated hip.
After a successful surgery she is loving her morning physiotherapy & nurse cuddles.She is the mend and ready for Easter ☺️🐣
