NOTICE TO PATIENTS REGARDING COVID-19
Due to the recent surge in cases of COVID-19 Globally and throughout Europe, we would ask that all patients take note of the following information / advice:
If in the last 14 days you have:
1. Returned from a high risk area (see link)
AND/OR
2. Been in direct contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19
AND/OR
3. Attended a facility treating confimred cases of COVID-19
AND
are displaying / developing flu like symptoms:
1. Cough
2. Fever (temperature greater than 38 degrees)
3. Shortness of breath
4. Difficulty breathing
PLEASE CONTACT THE SURGERY PRIOR TO ATTENDING FOR A CONSULTATION. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY UNLESS INSTRUCTED TO DO SO BY ONE OF OUR GPs.
While COVID-19 can be a mild disease in most cases, it can have severe consequences for the elderly, frail and immunocompromised.
Patients who meet the aforementioned criteria and attend the practice, risk infecting other patients and staff, and thus are asked to remain at home until contacted by the GP.
