It is difficult to see a God of love in our world this Easter with so many atrocities being carried out in his name across the globe.
Our Easter message to all is that we may be open to seeing the mystery and beauty of God in the beating heart of every human being around us, every animal and all of creation, without exception 🌿
And our hope is that we will practise kindness in the close-in spaces of our lives, where we live and work, day in, day out ✨
We continue to advocate for peace and kindness here at Ballyvaloo and leave you with the final verse of the poem Kindness by Palestinian American poet Naomi Shiihab Nye:
Before you know kindness as the deepest thing inside,
you must know sorrow as the other deepest thing.
You must wake up with sorrow.
You must speak to it till your voice
catches the thread of all sorrows
and you see the size of the cloth.
Then it is only kindness that makes sense anymore,
only kindness that ties your shoes
and sends you out into the day to gaze at bread,
only kindness that raises its head
from the crowd of the world to say
It is I you have been looking for,
and then goes with you everywhere
like a shadow or a friend.
Choose Kindness,
