🩸BLOOD DONATION CLINICS THIS WEEK🩸

We are experiencing continued high demand from our hospitals and we are urging our donors to make and keep appointments over the coming weeks. Stocks of O Neg, B Neg and A Neg are running low and donations for these blood groups are needed.

We have appointments to be filled in the following clinics this week; Ashbourne, Caherconlish, Carrickmacross, Castletroy, Fermoy, Leixlip / Lucan, Newport, Sligo Town, Waterford City & Wicklow Town.

We also have our fixed clinics are in Stillorgan & D’Olier St., Dublin & St. Finbar’s, Cork.

If you can’t donate this week you can make an appointment for one of our clinics next week, or in the weeks ahead. Exact times and locations can be found on our Clinic Finder on our website https://www.giveblood.ie/find-a-clinic/clinic-finder/ All our clinics are appointment only.

Exercising for the Brain

Due to the popularity of Exercising for the Brain in Mallow, The Crystal Project is piloting a 6-week Exercising for the Brain physical activity group in Fermoy for people with dementia starting on Wednesday 19th April 2023 in Adair Hall, Fermoy.

Shane Simcox of Simcox Rehabilitation will be facilitating the sessions. Shane specializes in exercise rehabilitation and the group will focus on exercises that improve balance, coordination, range of movement, and strength.

The group will have to be kept small so that Shane can tailor the exercises to meet the varying abilities of each individual.
