Full Moon in Scorpio. Mercury conjunct Chiron in Aries. Venus in Gemini sextile Saturn in Aries – With the lights square Pluto, the flower moon is a black rose - mysterious, thorny, beautiful. Atropos, oldest of the Fates, sits with the Lord of the Underworld which means a pointed question hangs in the air. What are you willing to lose in order to gain? What are you willing to let go of so that you can invest energy elsewhere? For life to flourish, there must be death, endings, change. Those who went before fertilised the ground beneath our feet.

Smile at the May queen. Dance under the winnowing cherry blossom and give thanks to the souls that made all this possible. Don’t forget to thank your past self too – they who fought to live and thrive and bring you to this moment.

Here is your power my love, says the Moon. Trust yourself. Know that whilst not every project bears fruit, all creative acts underpin the foundations of the future. Keep your heart light as you step into your authority. Give yourself permission to follow your passion.

O Soul,
You are the Phoenix
rising up from the ashes of Union.
Why don’t you fly?—
No one knows you on the ground.

For a time you took form in the body.
